We suggest using a feminized photoperiod-dependent seed.
In photoperiod-dependent plants, exposure to very specific periods of light timing is what triggers various plants to enter their life cycle phases.
Example: In order for your plant to go into flower, you would need to change to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. Your plant will continue to grow vegetatively in 20 hours of light and 4 hours of darkness.
So, what does Grobo think of auto seeds?
- We do not suggest using auto-flowering seeds in a Grobo. For lack of a better term, these seeds do what they want! Autos do not depend on any length of daylight, so they're less reliable and can do things outside of your control (i.e. Flower much earlier than normal when your plant is much too small).
- In the Grobo, we prefer to have full control over how long each stage is, especially when trying to increase yields and apply horticultural techniques. This is why we recommend feminized photoperiod-dependent seeds instead.
